Online Guitar Lessons?

Hi,

Does anyone know if online guitar lessons are a good idea and as good as 1 to 1?
Any recommendations?

IMO you can't beat one to one lessons.

I've learned to play from messing around and checking YouTube from the rhythms or progressions have been doing that for years. Never had a 1 to 1 lesson.

There is a app I use Guitar Tabs I think its called now. Its the Ultimate guitar site's app. That is pretty much how I've learned how to play. For €25 you unlock "lifetime" membership and get the whole library of songs and chords well worth it imo.

Granted I've been playing for 14 odd years on and off and I wouldn't have the confidence to be up to the standard of belting one out on the fly.

I have never thought of a Skype lesson but I'd imaging you wouldn't get the same standard of learning from them as you would a 1 to 1 and I'd say it would be pay by lesson so the teacher is probably going to hold you back some.
