It depends on how much. Less than €5k then cash but if it's more maybe bank transfer or bank draft.

    As above.

Up to 7k eu i buy from private sellers with cash. Anything in region of 8k+ I would buy only from garage/dealer and pay with bank.

If I buy private, I would not bring 7k with me, unless I am buying from reputable seller from car club. If its donedeal, then just have enough for deposit. And if seller looks okay give 50-100eu deposit and come back in a few days with money.

Go to the bank together and lodge the cash/bank draft there.

Go to the bank together and lodge the cash/bank draft there.

Thats no use if limited to outside banking hours.

Depends on the conditions, if it's in a carpark might go as far as €1000, if at sellers house I'd go up to €5k, up to €10k I'd want to meet seller at his bank and lodge cash in to his account.

Confirm the seller is the owner on the vehicle registration certificate by photo ID, otherwise car could be stolen, could be someone selling their mates car when they are on holidays etc etc.
