What are the thoughts here on Drop Shipping? Is there still money to be made at it?

If a serious amount of work was to be put in, is there still a decent margin to be made doing this? Or is it now competely saturated?

Has anyone here done well at it?

I used sell USB keys from the back of lecturers in college. Its pretty heavily saturated and you can't really compete with sellers in China. You also have all the hassle of shipping times etc if you are shipping from the Far East.

The key is to find a niche or trend and ride it as far as you can. I had fairly unique USB keys, car DVRs were another one for a while. You won't make much if you are just copying what is popular, people will never find your Ad. The only advantage to doing that is if people want it quick and you can deliver in less time e.g. You have physical stock in Europe or Ireland.
