Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The amazing thing about it is though is that once you beat it you know you can beat it again, and again, and again. It almost starts to seem easy. :)

    Just made it!

I know exactly what you meant now ... after so many tries you start to master every step and what seemed impossible at first becomes something you can go through casually (and there are a few tricks which you get to know along the way and help a lot :-))

Now the question is am I content with my 520 moons do I move on to another game, or do I go back fro more!

Was I correct? Was the satisfaction worth the misery?
I've about the same amount of moons as you. I play a bit every few days and get a few more but I don't have the desire to play Constantly till I get the 999. With mario galaxy I played it every night till I got every god damn purple coin, caught every purple Mario. I think galaxy handles this end of the game better.

I felt more motivated to get every star (or nearly every star) in Galaxy than I am to get every moon in Odyssey.

I'm curious... is it because of over-saturation of moons in levels, or because it was more fun to search out the stars?

Young fella somehow managed this weirdness earlier.

    The glitch is gas ha!
I'm not sure if I'm just at a different point in my gaming career I haven't been playing much or there's just nothing to aim for. In 3d land and 3d world at least I got 5 glistening stars on my profile but odyssey just doesn't offer the same perks.

In both galaxy games I made sure I got every single star! The game wasn't finished till I did.

Yeah definitely, Nintendo was right to add a more challenging thing at the end!

I've moved on to Mario + Rabbids as for now I'm a bit tired looking for moons, but SMO is still installed on the Switch and I'll probably get back to it once I'm done with Rabbids (I don't play that much, so focusing on just one game at a time).

Tried to play this on a friends Switch earlier, just couldn't do it, Im allergic to all the 3D Marios ever since 64, they just feel so clunky and awkward.

That'll be down to the Joy-Con's. They're little pieces of $h1t. Mario games are great though 3D World cheaped out big-time. Good morning everyone!

Playing Odyssey with the joy-cons was fantastic, learned moves way faster in that configuration, especially the trickier platform speed levels. Rapid switching between jumping and cappy was better with the slightly smaller buttons and was very natural jump diving and long jumping with ZL, ZR in your hands.

I don't remember using the joy-cons on the N64 et al. Did I miss out?

How long have you used a joycons for to form that opinion?

Joycons are fine, speaking as someone who has owned and used them since the systems release.
I figure the opinion of users is probably better

One joycon in the right hand, arm on the top of the couch. The other in the left hand with my elbow on the arm of the chair. One leg on the beam bag, one leg stretched the length of the couch...gaming at its best. Its like the wiimotes minus the cord, less the weight and motion control crap.

Completed Odyssey from the start to the end with the joycons in portable mode and I never felt they were holding me back or causing me issues. The only small issue specific to portable mode rather that the joycons is that you can’t do some motion control moves, but that’s not a dealbreaker.
