Majorca location ideas

Hi We are going to Majorca for 12 days end of May. We are thinking of a location close to the old town of Alcudia for 6 days. We love walking and usually hire bikes for leisure cycling. We are looking for locations with a Spanish feel with a few restaurants and bars for evening time. A good bus service to visit other areas would be good. We have been to Majorca a few years ago and stayed in Port Soller and Puerto Pollensa and we loved both. I am trying to pick another area for the last 6 days . I am leaning towards an area near Palma so we could do 2 days around there and then hire some bikes and cycle to some of the other resorts.
How would Palma itself be for 6 nights. Any recommendations for other resorts.
Any accommodation recommendations for self catering. We are mid 50s looking for sun exercise nice food and a little nightlife but not clubs or anything like that Thanks in advance
