Can anyone tell if people on jobseekers benefit have to attend turas nua appointments. I know jobseekers allowance recipients have to attend but was wondering if it's the same for jobseekers benefits recipients.

Yes , you're still required to be looking for work.

That doesn't answer the question they asked.

Op it was initially supposed to be only long term unemployed (12 months on live register actually) being referred to jobpath, and therefore it was only those on jobseekers allowance, however it seems that short term unemployed (and those on JB) are being referred now.

A friend recently told me she was to start again with Turas Nua they sent her an appointment . The day before cancelled this and further cancelled 2 more appointments .
I never had this experience when I was there . I wonder if after a year they dont find you a job what happens .

This is a property play by the criminal Irish government 3 job shops in every area, Turas Nua, Solas and TUS. The criminal Irish government has a problem they say economy is going well but thousands of empty buildings around Ireland so 3 job shops in a town or area sounds good to them. You must attend meetings otherwise the government plan would not work. The longer you stay at Turas Nua the better for government so you will get call back again for the same course.

They will collect information on you with questions. This is a basic CV and back to work course.
