Hi I have an archer C9 and it offers guest mode for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. When I initially set it up I enabled guest mode for 2.4ghz but I'm just wondering would that be interfering with the home 2.4ghz network?
The reason I set it up was lots of our friends and the kids friends connect to it and I had a PITA repeating the password so set a simple one everyone could remember.

    Nope.

The guest is the same radio transmission. Think of it as two bouncers guarding the same door asking for different passwords.

If half your street use it though that'll pretty significantly slow it just managing client to client collisions.

I'd say at anyone time the max connected to it would be about 15 but that's rare enough these days. Would that be too much?

Its towards the upper limit. Fine for everyday use but might be slow for big downloads etc.
