Ps4 hdmi issue

    First time posting here so apologies if there is a thread on this already.
    I just got a ps4 (second hand) today and I'm having issues connecting it via hdmi to the tv.
    Nothing was showing up so I ended up using the cable that came with the ps4 to see if that made a difference.
    First off it did but it flickers a lot and constant white spots showing and the occassional black screen display then it goes back to normal and then starts again.
    Does this sound like an hdmi cable or could the port of the ps4 be damaged?

    What tv? Try to change settings to game mode if you have. Turn of everything in screen settings like deep color. If that helps start turn back settings on one by one will see what was causing a problem.

    It's an LG 3d tv. Tbh there aren't many settings that i see that would let me change anything.
    Seems very basic.

    Where did you buy it OP?
    Launch PS4s did have some trouble with their HDMI ports, but if you bought it on adverts or the likes you might try and chase down your money if you can.

    The weird thing is that it won't work with any of the HDMI cables I've got at home but only with the one that came with the PS4 so I assume the original HDMI.
    Just that it flickers constantly :/

    To be honest I'd just get a refund.

    Yeah I've sent it back today for a full refund so I'm waiting on it and then I'll just get a new one so I've piece of mind.
    Found a new 1tg ps4 slim for not much more than what I paid for the second hand one.
    Hope it turns into a good purchase
