    Although from the comments on the youtube video and having seen the ghost in the shell trailers...

    - looks like Japanese parents and tech
    - they had a baby
    - something has happened, kid looks bedbound
    - kid grows up in VR
    - kid might be aware of this
    - parents very upset about it
