Putting this floor tile in the bathroom.

What type of wall tile do you think would match? Any suggestions welcome.

White metro/subway style tiles appears to be a fairly common choice with tiles like that.

    Nice tile btw.

    Plain white.
With that pattern, in my opinion, anything else would clash.
I wouldn't go metro though -too small.
Same size as floor but plain white perhaps?

+1 on metro tile. IMO white metro looks best with a dark grey grout that matches the floor grout

    Thanks for replies folks.

Funnily enough, the OH had more or less decided on white metro tiles for the walls, I just left that out of the thread to see what would be recommended.

Metro tiles it is then, might check to see if bigger ones would look better.

I love metro tiles, I have cream ones in my kitchen and utility but I wouldn't put them in a bathroom as they are small and you'll have a lot more grout lines. Grout in a bath/shower and behind the sink gets mouldy and black, no matter how diligent a cleaner you are and makes the place look shabby. I think larger tiles are always better in a bathroom.

If you use the expensive grout which premade in a tub, it is almost plastic like. McDonalds and other places use it as it is more sanitary. That doesnt get dirty, as there is no real pore for dirt to build up in. White grout from a tub will be a pristine white 5 years later as the day it was put up.

Dark grey grout won't show up dirt or mould. Most bathroom mould is a brown or a light black, which matches the grout. I only heard of using grey grout from a tiler who does a lot of rented properties. He said landlord use it as it stays fresh looking a lot longer.

IMO metro tiles are ageless. I have seen a lot of bathrooms where larger tiles looked great, then 10 years later the tiles have looked dated. They were still in mint condition, it is just the pattern or the colour didnt look great anymore. That clearly won't be the case with a metro

Here are pics of metro with grey grout

Yeah that last one is a nice look. Think it would suit those floor tiles.

As for grey grout, we put down polished porcelain tiles in the kitchen and assumed the grout would be white, but the tiler advised us to put in grey, told us thats what he uses 90% of the time......we are glad we listened to him.

Do you get metro style tiles in different sizes?

Edit: found these 30x10 instead of the usual 20x10, what you think?

I went with a traditional looking floor tile in my bathroom too and we picked the large metro tiles for the shower cubicle wall. It's being tiled this week.

Can I ask where you got the large metro tiles?

I got them in Brennans home improvements in Coolmine. I have seen them in Coolock Tile Outlet too. They come in a range of colours and the dimension I got was 7.5 x 30cm.

Hi, Love the tiles. I'd recommend a flat matt, non-beveled tile in a light neutral colour. I bought some beautiful light grey ones before Christmas in tile style very similar to these...

Archgres Light Beige 30x60cm MATT. Use a dark grey grout on both floor and wall.

However, if you are not 100% set on wall tiles, you could always complement the floor tiles using victorian wood panelling painted in white. Very luxurious!

OH has her heart set on white metro tiles tbh, I think beige is a non-runner.

Can I ask why you think non-bevelled?

Hi, apologise I should have been more specific, I didn't mean beige, it was the only similar style they had a picture of on tile style website. An off white would be preferable.
your floor tiles are stunning and for me should remain the focus. A small beveled edged metro tile... firstly, in my opinion, is already a little outdated but secondly, will be a stark uncomplimentary contrast to the floor. If you look at the picture you posted it's against an off-white plain smooth cupboard, see how it makes the tiles pop? A flat matt white tile will balance the busy floor.
Also a few years ago, back when metro tiles were near impossible to get and variety wasn't plentiful, I paired them with a victorian floor tile (similar to yours) & felt the bevel overtook the finished look.
Again theses things are always a matter of taste.. whatever you choose the floor tiles are beautiful and will enhance your space, enjoy them.
