what price to sand blast and spray a tank

    Anyone have an idea on the cost to sand blast and spray paint a 2000 gallon tank. Looking at my tank now and its not fierce bad but half wondering if I invested a bit of money in it now would I get another 15+ years out of it. It is kept in a shed now but previous owner probably didn't keep it in one.

    You are probably looking at around €2000-€2500 for sandblasting, primer and painted with 2 pack paint.

    Any harm to ask where you got that done. Hoping to do a hispec muck spreader in the next year or so. The amount of lads doing this work seems limited enough

    Could you hire one out n buy the bags of sand? Surely a day sandblasting n a day spraying would do it.
    20l of primer e100 n 10l 2 pack say another 100.
    A few wet days are in the pipeline ,it,d keep u entertained!

    I want a fairly professional job to be honest. AS in no overspray etc. (its one thing that bugs me when I see machinery for sale on donedeal that has been sprayed). So wheels to come off, done properly etc.

    Just on this, to my admittedly limited knowledge, the tanker will rust from the inside out not vice versa. Does this not mean that the sand blasting and spraying will be merely cosmetic and do little to prolong the life of the tanker?
    I am wide open to correction if I am wrong.

    Yes you're correct with the biggest failure of the tank being implosion from lack of tank baffles or degradation of the steel work. A freshly painted tank can hide a multitude of internal problems.

    Consider putting that 1500-2000 to a fund to upgrade your tank.
