Capital gains tax, UK property.

    Hi, we have a house in the north of Ireland, built 5 years ago by us, never lived in it, now rented, if we sold it how would we know what tax will be charged ?

    The UK has only recently begun charging non residents CGT in respect of U.K. Property. Additionally, unless you have complicated personal background (non Dom, non ord red etc) you will likely have an Irish CGT liability also. Find a tax adviser.
