House of 3,700 sq. ft had development levies of over €27000 imposed in 2010.
Extension of Duration simply repeated the same levies.
House is about to start shortly.
Wondering if anybody has successfully applied for deletion of the financial condition. The Council could impose a new financial condition with the current levies.
In this case, the Council has a cap of €9,000 for a house over 200 sq.m.
Addition charges for Irish Water are unknown but could never exceed another €18,000 !
Another option is to make a small variation to the plans and apply for a change of house type. This may be too late as the house is due to commence shortly.
    Would welcome your opinions

As far as I know, you need to apply for planning with a slight alteration to get the reduced contributions. Hence why all the big developers re-submitted planning applications for the large sites in Dublin to get the revised contributions.

There was a change to the law (recent enough) re planning levies whereby a development that had not commenced could avail of the current lower planning levies which includes water and sewer as it's an old permission. Write into the Council requesting the levies be recalculated based on this.
