    Hi all.
A position is being advertised in my locality for the position of "employment advisor".
I'm just curious if any posters have worked in this or a similar role previously. The ad states that it involves working with people on a 1-1 basis and in groups, attempting to find employment for them. What are posters experiences in this line of work. Rewarding, demanding, frustrating???

    Thanks

    Turas Nua or Seetec?

Both have a high turnover of staff in the employement services sector.

Basically, you are in essence a recruiter dealing with people on the social for 1 year plus and have to place them in jobs.
You will start out great intentions and end up working with local recruitment agencies to get them in the door.

You will find some people who really want to work and will work with you and will be great. You will find others who will duck and dive and never engage.

If you do take it, it can be good or it can be tough.

It is with Network Personnel in a rural town.

Thanks for the feedback. It's sort of what I expected for this type of work.
