Does the 330 CDL permit operations with only 1 winglet?

Not at this time of year, lots of slack in the schedule. There's a 757 freed up from Shannon too, JFK has stopped until March.

It does indeed look like it was being towed, how did the operator get it so wrong?

I'm vaguely familiar with that area, there's lots of space so this shouldn't have happened. Also, with the aircraft positioned correctly on the taxiway line, there's loads of clearance between the wingtip and hanger.

From looking at Google Maps, it appears that this aircraft was well off the taxiway line.

Somebody has some explaining to do!!

The fault was at the hands of DAA ops who provided a follow me off course..

I've never seen a DAA vehicle provide a "follow me" to an EI aircraft being towed to its hanger, or anywhere around the airfield for that matter?

If it was the case, then we have even more incompetent people involved in this incident than just the person towing the aircraft! How hard is it to follow a yellow line and observe what's around you?!

Could it be possible that the tug was trying to straighten up after the bend there and the planes momentum took over? The ground looks a bit greasey in the pics.
Maybe going a bit fast for conditions? Hard to find another explanation of how it ended up in that position.

The aircraft was under tow, when it got to Hangar 1 it was being provided a "follow me" escort as there was works going on on the taxi-line, DAA provided the follow me and the wing tip marshaller to get around the works. The wing tip marshaller wasn't paying too much attention as he gave it the thumbs up right into the hangar door.

Spot on.altho the 'works' we're a bit off the Centre line,it would not of interfered with the 330 hadn't they put up barriers around a pot hole, there was ample room for a left deviation.
