Wouldn't be the most pleasant job for a first time DIY'er.

It's a straight swap job with no programming or special tools needed or anything like that so it's not beyond the scope of a competent DIY-er.

    When did this start?
    Does all other doors lock?
Is there a sound from the door lock?
Did you try spraying with some lubricant?

started last sat evening i didnt know it was'nt locking till monday morning.
    all other doors locking perfectly.
when i try to lock it it makes two clicks the flashing light beside the dash on the drivers door stays on for maybe 10/20 secs then flashes faster than normal.sprayed some lube into the lock no difference.

i might be a first time DIY'er at changing the lock on this car, giving a dealer €4/500 for doing this job is'nt going to be pleasnt after giving him over €600 in november.

There's a lot of middle ground between chancing it yourself and paying main dealer labour rates.

the locks are 30/40 quid on ebay.

    did my own last year.
loads of youtube videos on how to do it.
if your anyway mechanically minded its straight forward.
so straight forward I only had to take the door skin off 3 times :(

I don't think my doubtful tone came across in text. :D
