Looks good, miles are low, would certainly be a prime candidate to run a full history check on when you get the reg plate.

My thoughts exactly. Seems too good to be true. I'll ring him tomorrow and get the reg.

Having driven both the standard B7 and the Sports suspension, the sports had a terrible ride, spoilt a really fine car. Just my 2c.

    Right. Cheers.

I'm aware that the Sport suspension would be a little stiffer, but I thought it would only really be a negative on poorer roads. The neighbour has a 140 Highline to the best of my knowledge, so I'm going to have a drive of that and see. I drove a 1.6 105bhp and was a little underwhelmed.

Great spec and it's the 170, which I've been looking out for.

My money is on either clocked or written off

Ya, I've gotten around to that way of thinking myself. I haven't had the chance to get in contact with him as yet, but I'll give him a bell tomorrow just for the craic!

How about this as a substitute:

I realise the title of the thread is Passat, but I just found this and I like the look of it!

Have one myself. Buy off a registered VW dealer where you will get the 1 year standard vw warranty. Ya might pay a bit more but youre guaranteed good quality and ya can be assured nothing is wrong with the carðŸ˜႒
