Is still hard to get your head around.

    Any thoughts on Nike going.

Seen a good few lads pick up unreal bargains with the stuff being sold off ? Anyone get one - any good deals on balls etc.
    Anyone a bit disappointed ?
Is there anything that could become sort of collectable - like old Scoty stuff.
Anyone a link to the business rationale
Is their staying in clothing sustainable ? Seen they made a few big signings to reaffirm that - Jason Day. I think Rory is staying clothing ?

First big purchase I got in golf were Tiger Woods Nike golf shoes - I'll be straight up and say it was because of Tiger - never was enamoured with even the idea of their clubs - and in the long run either were Nike.

Nike putters are very reasonable at the moment in mcguirks, 40% off nike clothing as well.
The vapor irons look fantastic but I haven't a notion if they are any good though!
I assume there will be further reductions to get rid of the stuff

    Nike equipment is top class.

Vapor woods range from 2014/15 really really good. Up there with Titleist's 915 range. Sorry to see them go. Haven't hit their hybrids or the newer Fly range. I play a set of Nike irons and very happy with them also.

I'm surprised how many people refuse to even try a Nike club. Strange mindset.

All of the Nike equipment is first rate, but I wouldn't think any of it would be considered collectible.

The only club I remember that gained a bit of cult following was the original forged pro combo iron.

They will stay in the clothing side. They can produce a tee shirt for a couple of Euro and flog it for 40.
Very little money in clubs when u add in the r&d costs

Got a great deal on a method drone putter from McGuirks - wondering if all those putters they have at the moment are from that job lot of stuff that SeveOB mentioned in one of the other threads.

Amazingly well balanced with upgraded large Champ grip - pretty unusual shape for a mallet but it's in the bag and first signs are extremely positive

Yea I think they are. I was searching for a wedge to match my set and got the low down from one of the managers in there.

I was looking at the putters, seem pretty decent. I'm sporting a pretty old Odyessy as you may have spotted, but considered upgrading. But then I also consider the putter to be pretty important and probably the last club worth upgrading just because of age. If it's old and does a good job, a new club might not be worth it. Whereas new irons will have better groves and the shaft in older irons will loose performance. I can't see the same deterioration for (good quality) putters.

having said that..... don't be surprised if I end up with one in the bag pretty soon :D

I love my forged pro-combo irons. Mine aren't the original, but rather the VR set from 2014, I got mine in 2015 end of line, but they were much nicer club than the Vapor. IMO of course :D

I've never gamed a single Nike club, I've no issue with their clubs, it's just any time I have looked for a new club, Nike rarely get recommend.

Traded in Driver, 3 wood and hybrid with American Golf and got the same 3 Nike clubs brand new handing over just €150 in total. Doubt I will ever beat a bargain like that again. Love the brand and I too was like many, never connecting Nike and golf as a genuine brand but since I've used their clubs I love them and have considered swapping out my Titliest irons for the Nike irons.

I have some Nike polo shirts, Nike hats and use Nike balls but I've never even hit a Nike golf club. They just never appealed to me for some reason.
