    Got your attention now!!
My fanbelt making screech noise last couple weeks, looked around it today, and at very bottom under the pulley. Theres a metal part bolted from pulley wheel to engine, just abive the very bittom bolt the metal has cracked thru...see pics.... is this a easy fix? Expensive if mechanic does it? Whats part called?
    Thanks.

    Hilarious :)

Since you ask about a mechanic I assume you don't intend to DIY this issue, hence I am moving this to main forum

    What car is it?

Depends on what the actual part is and how easy it is to get at. If it is the fanny pulley they can cost from €20 to €100 easily. As for labour, depends on access to the part.

It is some sort of belt tensioner. Check with a couple local mechanics.

Hi, trying to find what this parts called.. off a hyundai tucson 2005 seems to hold fanbelt pulley to engine..
The lower part that bolts on has cracked thru, i put some cheap metal bond putty on in a far chance hope it will stop it moving...fanbelt seems tight on engine, but is making a squeal..
Want to know what part is called to order another and get fitted..is it part of the pulley? Or seperate part tgat connects pulley to engine...anyone know?? Thanks.

    Its just an idler pulley.

Thanks. Would an idler puller usually be just the pulley? Or would it have that cast metal bolt on bit too?

Some manufacturers supply pulley on its own while others only supply pulley and mounting. Best to enquire from dealer.
You could try a dismantler first.
