Hopefully right place to ask, looking to play a course in the area stated above tomorrow. Looking at Bunclody, Carlow even Enniscorthy. Have business in Bunclody in the evening but have the day to do stuff before, so just wondering what thecourses are like in the area. I know my local is good but sometimes the exception this time of year. Thanks in advance

Carlow is well known for its excellent drainage so it's playable all year round. And, as Ziggy says, Bunclody is in good nick and offers good value too.

That said, which ever course you choose, be sure to ask about temporary greens, state of the bunkers and whether placing is in play.

Bunclody is in great shape, we played it last week and loved it .... the finishing 4/5 holes are among the best around.

Cheers for all replies. Unfortunately I had car trouble (engine went kaput) so got nowhere near playing golf. Hoping to get back up there Wednesday though for the Open Singles.
