    Hi Guys,

Bringing the car round to the garage today, fan started running constantly and then checked the coolant level and it was zero! Temperature gauge is sky high too.

What do you reckon? Leak? Water Pump or do i need to just keep an eye on the coolant?

Your head gasket could be fried now.

    Oil seems fine!

If it is the head gasket is it worth getting replaced?

Low mileage on the car, only bought it for 1500 before christmas and had to sink some cash into it already

You could be talking at least half of what you paid for it to have the head skimmed and gasket replaced. But you should get a mechanic to look at it first as it may not be that bad, then make the decision if you want to spend more money on it or cut your losses.

If you noticed right away, you could be lucky and be fine. Get it checked over anyway.
