Hi. I've been an sna for over 5 years. Due to recent circumstances in my job, I feel I've no choice but to leave. I need to know if I get another sna job , be it in a few months or next year, do I loose the current Payscale I am on?? Must I start back at Payscale 1? I really hope someone has the answer here :( I'm at a total loss and my union don't seem to be available at all these days. Thank you

I don't know if it is the same for SNAs but teachers carry incremental credit over from year to year whether they have moved schools or not...

Just moving schools will not change your incremental scale. Not sure about a long break in service. If you even got subbing in your off time you'll hold your increments.
Just be aware that if you choose to leave your school you won't have any panel rights and you'll be giving up any redundancy record. Schools BOM are individual employers and so changing school by choice you'll give up those rights.
