Is there anywhere in the south which offers all year round ice skating. Went to Limerick on ice and had a great time, would love to improve but it's closed this Sunday.

I don't know of anywhere, but have you considered inline skates? I got myself a pair and they're great fun, anywhere. You'd be looking for a pair with four inline 80mm wheels, they'll handle pretty much any road surface. I just posted on this in the 'General sports' section as there is no skating topic.
Anyway, I know quite a few people who skate both on ice and outdoors on inline skates and the techniques are the same. (Inline skates usually have a brake fixed to the heel of one skate, but if you can skate and brake on ice, you can brake the same way with inline skates, and there are different braking techniques, plenty of videos on it on youtube as well. Check out the link I put up in my post)
