Stag and hen parties

When it comes to hen and stag parties does everyone just let their best man or bridesmaids etc look after it ?

The reason I am asking is I work at an adventure center and need to get in more groups and was thinking about going to wedding fairs to advertise. Just wondering if it would be worthwhile.

    Any input is welcomed thanks.

As far as I am aware, the best man/bridesmaid is in charge of organising everything, and although he can do as he wants (in theory), the reality is that it's usually something the actual groom/bride want to do.

So appealing directly to the bride and groom is a good idea.

That said, here's one for you: I joined a slimming world group a while ago. Every now and again a few people will go out together and do something simple as a means of socialising without getting drunk. I'm surprised adventure centres and the likes don't get in touch with consultants of such groups offering a free day out for the consultant (or a few euro in their pocket) if they arrange a day out with X amount of people.

You'd be surprised how many people would go for such a thing. ;)

Especially pushing it as a fun way of exercising (depending what you do of course, obviously some people in weight clubs would be very very obese so you'd need to be a tad careful of what activities, but 90% of them are just slightly bigger people that you wouldn't consider to be overweight really anyway.. at least in my opinion).

Could be an idea for you.

Have you been in touch with the online websites that offer packages for hens and stags? Getting yourself on their books as an offering would be a good idea.

Have you aligned yourself with the local hotels and other entertainment venues to maybe offer packages that include some activities with you?

It might also be worth looking at local wedding venues that have smaller wedding fairs and seeing if you can get some coverage there, one trick is to offer a discount if someone books with you on the day etc...

The bigger wedding fairs might be a stretch budget wise, I've heard they are expensive to attend and I don't think you would get much return for the investment.
