This error message pops up on my phone every few seconds. Can someone tell me what it is and how to fix ?

AVG detected and recommended to disable, but it's still the same.

Pretty sure it's a system app, so it can't be deleted from the phone.
One of the reason I don't use AVG is because it has a bad habit of giving false positives.

Zero need for AVG or any antivirus software on a phone.

    Sounds dodgy as hell.

If it was a legitimate core app, it would have the com.android.snap package structure.

    Installed anything unusual lately?

No nothing. It's a Chinese phone, got from Gearbest ( surprise surprise ).

Had it a few months now, with no problems, this just appeared today.

Seems to be adware of some type possibly..

    https://www.google.ie/amp/forums.androidcentral.com/ask-question/701898-what-com-android-snap.html%3Famp

Does it show as com.android or android.com?

    It's com.android.snap

Same phone ( Bluboo Picasso ) as in the link you posted. Happens literally every few seconds.

Yes, managed to stop it. The first time I tried to disable & reboot, it didn't work. Tried a second time, and it's stopped.

There's posts from today on that link now, with the same complaint. The price you pay for buying an ultra cheap Chinese phone. I must learn how to root it.
