Hi folks. We recently bought a Bush CD8TDW 8KG Condenser Tumble Dryer.

When we put it on the time often drops. So, put it on a cycle for 2hrs 30mins and within a few mins it says 20mins on the clock. The clothes aren't dry.

Checked everything in the manual and it doesnt mention this. There is no support because Bush is part of Argos so have to call a UK number for help which will most likely result in an engineer call out. All I want to know is how to get the darn thing working. Is there something we're doing wrong? Anyone else have one of these dryers?

    Its brand spanking new!

Is there a humidity sensor in it? ie it can measure how damp the clothes are and reduces the time to dry them accordingly

Apparently so. Part of the energy saving mechanism but when a load of wet clothes straight from the machine go in and it says it needs 20mins there is something wrong :(

Perhaps the sensor is obstructed so that it can't measure the moisture correctly, if you know where it is, it might be worth wiping it.

Hmmm bush stuff is never amazing. At least Argos are good to deal with.

+1 a 'heritage' British brand name from the 70s and earlier, known for great radios and TVs, never white goods. Now a flag of convenience for Argos appliances.
