Looking at a car its a 2009 Diesel:

    20/10/2016
    Private (Consumer), 3rd owner
    Duration: 2 months, 14 days

    19/09/2016
    Dealer
    Duration: 1 month, 1 day

    11/07/2012
    Private (Consumer), 2nd owner
    Duration: 4 years, 2 months

    23/03/2009
    Private (Company), 1st owner
    Duration: 3 years, 3 months

Can anything be read into the current owner only owning it 2 months? It was NCD'd in November and apparently the timing belt was done recently too(unverified). Am I just being too cautious ?

Nah, you can't be too cautious.

Any dealer stickers on the back. The supplying dealer is often a clue as to the quality of the car.

    I'd ask him straight out.

What if he's a bad man and makes something up!

Nope no stickers on the back at all. It was also up for sale just over a month ago and was re-listed today.

Ask the seller where he bought it, could have been traded into a garage and sold at auction, he might have done it up for sale.

    Link to the ad?

Nothing to lose from asking I'll give him a buzz

Same seller was selling it on a non English (Polish) speaking site on 30th October. 10 days after car went into current registered owners name.

Same seller was selling an accord too.

Which website did you get the information in your first post from please. Going looking at a few cars tomorrow and this info would help me greatly. Have got the Cartell reports before but can't remember getting that level of info in them

    THanks

Actually you can see the Halloween decorations in the background of the pics in the ad!

Seller has two ads for the car, one with 97k miles and a newer one with 95k miles. NCT shows 101k miles.

Wouldn't say he's clocked it, but he's not being completely truthful with the mileage.

I noticed that too. But in the description it still says 95k on both ads

On phone so links are tricky but looking at 2 x Saab 9-5 in the morning - one in Webb motors in Rialto,, one in M50 car centre. Also one in Beech lawn motors if I can fit it in. Service history with all of them but missing a few bits. If one of them is a runner I'll pt it through moto check.

Kind of want the estate as tend to carry a lot of stuff -dogs, bikes, DIY stuff etc. Going to pay a bit above bangernimics money to get a cleaner car and slightly lower miles. It's replacing an Astra with 180k miles. Will keep my own bangernomics Mazda 626 for another bit. Nearly 7 years motoring trouble free apart from rear calipers.

Sorry for thread hijack by the way

    Mark
