Video footage of road rage in Dublin, looks like he was trying to jump in the queue coming up the outside of the cars, no need for this over reaction, Got what he got deserved.

I sincerely hope that they both get convictions in court.
The guy in the SUV with the dash cam is clearly a scumbag.

All I saw was someone defending himself. Nobody can do something so bad in their car, without contact between their cars anyway, that deserves being pulled out and being assaulted.

    Two wrongs and all that.
Protecting yourself is one thing, he went beyond that.
Two scumbags obvs and both should be convicted.

Bollocks. That "reasoning" is part of the reason bullies and general scum often lose the run of themselves in society. They'd think twice if they thought they'd face a beating.

Don't think either should be behind the wheel. Me personally I would have my door locked and window put up rather than giving someone the opportunity to pull me out to fight with me we all meet angry ppl from time to time.. .it's how we react

If people weren't afraid to fight back a bit more like that we wouldn't live in a a country where every scumbag and cream cracker think they can intimidate and assault people left right and centre and not fear retribution. Go over to after hours and read the "terrorised in my own home" thread and see what you think.

It's part of a trend towards passivity and (often in vain)appeals to authority all too common today.

Ignoring the trolling for a minute, it seems strange he uploaded this video so quick. It would have been good leverage to get an out-of-court settlement from the Saab driver.

That is pretty much the same thing happened to me but the guy arrived in through the window head and fist 1st.

Few digs he fell right back out again.

What he should have done was roll up his Windows and locked his door, possibly drive away.
Everyone should be able to defend themselves, but he went over that.
If it goes to court, they will both be defendants

"No sound, sorry" means, "the abuse I gave to the other guy makes me look bad so I muted it before uploading".

"I've no idea as my driving up to that point shouldn't have upset anyone". Except for the fact that when he came out of the roundabout, he clearly moved into the left as if he was going to take the left, dawdled for ten seconds and then pushed back into the right-hand lane. Without rear video or sound, for all we know he could've (and likely did) cut right across the guy.

Obviously the reaction of the other guy was way over the top and uncalled for but I'm going to reserve judgement and assume they're both scumbags.

Manoeuvres on the roundabout may not have been the best. No reason to be attacked, no reason to be called a scumbag.

After the roundabout the traffic merges into 1 lane. The driver merges without being pushy and then the other guy comes up alongside on his right which at that point is over the broken white line and clearly on the wrong side of the road! He then had to back off. Probably pissed off because he couldn't push his way in in his big car so lost it. Who cares what was said? The bully got what he deserved!

If somebody started punching me as I sat in traffic I hope they like ****ting their own teeth.

Problem is a prick like that would probably do the same to a woman or older person.

It does, but if you watch the video, traffic had clearly formed two queues and the lane is wide enough to accomodate it.
The driver merges without being pushy
We don't know that because we can't see what's happening behind him. He pulls alongside the left of the silver Volvo, hovers there a bit and then moves right behind the Volvo. At which point you can see by the car's movement that another car is squeezing him on his right.

If I had been driving the black car, I too would have assumed that he was going left, and I would have pulled up behind the Volvo. So if the video guy had pulled right, he would have pulled right in on top of him. And that's probably what happened.

Look at it again, 1:30, he is as far left as he can be, is off to the left of the queue of traffic and is having a think about his options. He starts drifting right, then gives a quick bump on the accelerator before having to swerve and jerk left; because the other guy is trying to squeeze him out.

Look at the Volvo's wing mirror - he's looking behind wondering WTF is going on. So there was a lot happening and a lot of abuse being thrown before the camera is even turned.

Of course, most sane people if they'd been driving the black car, would have said, "look at this fnckin eejit, go in, get in there you fncking cock" and done nothing else.

But sometimes two cocks collide and this kind of thing happens. Of course, the guy in the black car is 100% in the wrong. He should have stayed in his car and given the finger.

But the video guy is clearly no angel and was driving like a gob****e.

I would agree with this. The guy ahead should of completely taken the full lane and not kept to the left hand side, this would of prevented the bully guy from moving up in the first place. This is all he did wrong and it is difficult to reserve calling him a scumbag like some previous posters: is it the glasses he is wearing, or is it because he is smoking a cigeratte, or is it because he has a dashcam.

Yup, it's the Saab that was pulling on to the roundabout when he was already on it.

Looks like it was a gard who put him back in the car, he was waving a badge when he came running up.

Stuff for the cnut. The amount of fcukers who think it's their divine right to drive up the outside of traffic and "demand" to be let in is unreal. I will never let anyone cut in...you don't do it in the bank, the doctors or the supermarket so you sure as hell aren't doing it on the road.

I hope he has a fat lip and a sore jaw. It'll give him something to think about the next time he tries to push his big fat head in.

I don't believe this is correct, regardless of whether the guy was turning left or going straight on, the road goes single file before that left hand turn, so front car has right of way regardless of the direction he was taking, see how the cars go single file just after the roundabout.

The incident happened going through a shopping area, so he may have had been watching out for parking near a certain shopping Unit. There is no evidence to suggest that he was no angel, and his driving seems perfectly fine to me, staying left is not driving like a gob****e, its a single lane regardless.

Odd that cam man exited underground car park but then drove back towards surface car park. I usually go home after I leave the shopping centre car park... Staged event perhaps? Candid camera?

(Obviously loads of potential reasons but I do love an old conspiracy theory..)

I love when the guard flips out the badge like he just came from an episode of Cops ðŸ˜

He has all the proof he needs that he was attacked first.

I'd say he was heading up to collect something from the back of one of the shops.

I'm up there regularly and that roundabout is ridiculous. It's not marked as two lanes but two cars fit up to the point where it bottle necks at the pedestrian crossing. This causes all sorts of arseholery with people speeding up to get ahead. A pedestrian is going to get creased there eventually.

The cam guy definitely did nothing wrong and I can hazard a guess that the attacker came flying up the outside lane entering the car park which should only really be used to turn back out, he then got squeezed out and went mad.

No conspiracy theory....his wife just asked him to take a detour to pick up some additional shopping in Dunnes, its definitely a theory.....however much a common one out there, many a man that has been asked to take this detour, just when he thought he would be home to see that premiership match.

Slightly poor driving from the cameraman but nothing to warrant the vicious attack.

Saab/Merc man got exactly what he deserved.

The cameraman has no real case to answer.

How was it poor driving? He was in the correct lane going around the roundabout and was on a single lane, The Saab driver clearly doesnt know the rules of the road as you have to yield to traffic approaching the roundabout from the right/already on the roundabout. Its two lanes merging into one lane, and Saab gets the hump that this lad gets in his way.

tbh I would have reacted the same as the Dash cam driver when the dude was trying to bully his way in. But I'd probably have locked the door. I'd never actually thought to move my dash cam
