Spots on Drylining

    Hi,
I got my house drylined around 7 years ago. It has really improved the warmth of the house as it is built in 9 inch blocks on the flat. The problem I have is that I am getting polka-dot walls and I presume this is from the mushroom clips. One wall has been painted twice but it came through again.
I am going to start painting again soon and I was wondering if there are any good barrier coatings that will prevent these spots coming back.
Would Perma White or BIN primer be worth trying.
    Thanks.

The polka dots or discolouration you see is mould growth where the mech fixings used to install the board were not thermally broken. Improving the heating / ventilation regime will improve this effect significantly. Painting over with a mould rsistent paint may also be worthwhile.

Thanks Mick. I've been into a good paint shop and they suggested Zinnser BIN Primer. I'll do a bit of research and see if this is suitable.

Oil based undercoat is better than any of the above to prevent stains reoccurring.
If as suggested it's mould from cold bridging, ventilation would help with mould growth but won't do anything for the cold bridging
