What should I do for next few days? Can I go straight to milk replacer or should I keep giving the colostrum replacer? I will keep trying get with the mother bur want to prepare incase she would take take to calf.

Not at the moment. He has had a few sucks. Just want to make sure he is getting enough. Gonna keep trying to get him sucking and try some milk replacer this evening. Day 2.

The major benefits from Beestings will be gone after 12 hours as the calf won't be able to absorb much of the antibodies after 6 hours.

I'd say to keep the calf with the mother and training him to suck but top up with a half liter of milk/milk replacer a few times a day.

A bit of ration to the cow as well to feed her better so she will be able to produce more/better milk as well.
