Just a question in relation to battery going flat. Brothers car wouldn't start yesterday. I tried it today and battery was flat. Just barely turning over. I jumped it and it started grand. Left it for a minute and stopped it and it started grand again. It's ok now all day and lights etc aren't killing it. I've no way of testing battery atm as he's heading back to work tonight. I think the battery went faulty. Will I stick a new one in

    Very few details.
    Was car left for long.
Were lights or something else left on.
Is it used for short trips.

It would need more then a minute to charge.

Give a good spin and if worried rev it up to 3k revs to charge while in drive.

Try driving and if possible charge battery.

    Most likely something was on.

Just Seems weird that it wouldn't start then when it did I only moved it around corner of house basically a minute and turned it off and it started on the key then.

When the battery gets up to 5 years or so and there's any carry on like that your better off to replace it.

^^^ what he said, plus we're looking at low temperatures this week so that's when the older batteries will start failing too.
