Megane Tomtom (built in) - How to update maps without dealing with main dealer

My brother in law has a 10 megane that has the Tomtom in the dash built in. It runs off an SD card (8gb) in the side of it.

He only just bought the car and went to price a maps update for Ireland/UK for it at his local dealer and was quoted some mad amount.

Is there a cheaper way of getting this done, he is willing to pay but as he says himself, youd buy 3 or 4 satnavs off adverts for the price they quoted him.

(He is adamant on using the built in tomtom, and doesnt want to buy a separate unit at the moment)

Thanks for any help on this.
