Hi guys. I recently went for my NCT and failed on quite a few things. Hopefully some I will be able to fix myself. Some others may need to be looked after by a professional mechanic.

First off my front right head lamp is unsecured on one side due to impact. After taking a look at it the area where the bolt meets the clip has broker. Could I get a new green clip and maybe open up the whole head lamp to repair the damaged area without having to buy a new light?

I got a new battery in a motor factors and a nice lad fitted it for me. The thing is he removed the original piece that held the old battery in place and said there was no need for it. NCT have failed me on a insecure battery.

I have bought a universal battery retaining bracket but I cant see where it might fit. Should the curved parts just grip underneath the tray that the battery sits on? Looks like there is very little room for that.

Something I never knew was there are summer and winter tires. On the back axel I have one summer and one winter. My back right has a slow puncture so I want to get the same kind that is on the rear left wheel. How can I tell which is which?

The rest of my fails were

Head lamp aim. I take it a mechanic needs to do this?

Steering Linkage (43) Rack & Pinion + Power steering pump. Once again maybe a mechanic for this job.
