Has sky finally got the better of the card sharing community?
According to their website offering free upgrades to the sky hd+ box the SD boxes that run card sharing will be losing services from sky..
Now this could mean two things...
    1. The services they describe could refer to them not looking after the boxes anymore or
    2. They've decided to just cut all services including channels too..
    It's still unclear..
If you have any clarification please reply to this post.
    Thanks.

It's the same as before, they will not have won until they have convinced every single SD customer to accept this upgrade to a HD box. There are legit reasons for some customers wanting to keep an old box, one is to keep recordings on the box

It's only the Thomson Boxes that are affected. The other SD boxes in circulation will go on as normal. So no i wouldn't think its the end.

what an idiotic heading and an erroneous post, it should be deleted immediately. This offer applies to those people who have an old thompson hd box, it is no longer compatible with the latest software updates. Sky are emailing affected customers. The free box offer is the same thing, you have to have a sky id account and then click on offer. I would be very surprised if one with the old sd boxes would be offered a hd box for free. There are millions of people still with the old sd and sd + boxes so it will take a few years yet. I know quite a few people who have old single feed boxes and if one thinks sky is going to give a free box, new lnb, a call out, for free!! then good luck with that. The offer has moved to end of february 2017 now.

You’re an existing Sky TV customer who has an active Thomson Hermes set top box in your home.
•You’ve been pre-selected by Sky for this reward – we’ll have mailed you to let you know.

    And its for uk only.

We don't allow discussion of card sharing here. Nor do we allow backseat moderation, by the way
