Hi all. I went for my annual eye test today. It's a test for diabetic retinopathy. It was performed on the medical card service here in Galway Ireland. When the test was over, I, as I usually do, asked what the woman who had done it, thought of the photos. She then informed me that she hadn't a clue about what the photos meant. I was shocked. In the 12 years since I've had these tests done, I never experienced that. Wonder has anyone else experienced this. I will receive the result in 3 weeks time but its nice to get some encouragement when the photos are taken. Sincerely Kevin.

If she was a photographer, nurse or technician she wouldn't be qualified or permitted to interpret the images or give you results, only the ophthalmologist can do that. This is standard practice.
