    Hi all, came across a Strong SRT6016 set top box in a house i just moved into.

    Is this box any use? Can I use it for anything? ...

    Just wanted to double check with you guys before I bin it!

    It's a Satellite "Free to Air" box. So if you connect it to your satellite dish, do a scan and you should have all the free channels.

    Ok thanks, so i need a satelitte dish then.

    Theres no way to connect it to a standard upc cable to get more channels?

    I don't think so. I've never used one of these boxes but none of the specs I can find suggest that they were made with a cable tuner. So, I'm afraid it looks like you'll need a dish.
