    Myself (Irish Citizen) and my American Wife are planning on moving to Ireland next year, from what I've read online it's simply a matter of us going to our counties local Gardai HQ and registering, i've heard numerous stories about the Garda being a little easier on Americans/CanadiansAussies but obviously I'm not going to listen to those stories and I'll be waiting for the worst. Can anyone tell me how easy this process is going to be? We have all our documents in check (Marriage cert, passports, all bank statements and things like that). Neither of us have criminal records and we've been married and living together 4 years in the US.

    Ah thank you SO much for this explanation, honestly, I've had a few people telling me how straight forward the process is but I find I'm needing constant reassurance. I think it's the fact we literally have to drop everything here and go home and PRAY everything goes alright with immigration.
