    If it's currently either you can look at the tax rate on motortax.ie, if it's €95 it is a taxi/hackney.

    Just wanted to check if it was previously used as a taxi as I'm buying a second hand car.

    I'd do a history check either way, for the sake of €20 it can show up all sorts.

    I saved €8000 this time last year by doing a history check, the car checked out on a visual inspection but was a UK category D write off only 3 months previously.
