Recently purchased property. Management fee double charged.

I recently purchased an apartment. The management fees were due 2 months prior to close, so the fees were apportioned and I paid my portion as part of the final settlement. However, today I received a letter from the management company requesting payment. It seems the seller never paid. What do I do? Who do I contact?
