Finding 'thin sneakers' from ecco?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I went shopping before Christmas in Dundrum for some clothes and in particular window showing for casual shoes in ecco, clarks, tk maxx.

I saw some very nice 'sneakers' or canvas for €120. The reason sneakers is in quotes is because I'm not exactly sure whether that's what they were. The definitely didn't have the same thickness as sneakers I see, and they looked more like a merrell shoe (and weren't boots), however I didn't check the labels.

My mother is doing some shopping in the UK and wants to buy clothing at a discount shops. I wanted to send her the shoe but it's no longer there.

Does anyone have an idea what this shoe might be?

You're not giving us much to go on!
What colour were they? Are they men's or women's? What do you mean by thin - do you mean they have a thinner than average sole? Could you link a somewhat similar pair and point out what differentiates the pair you liked from the pair you link? Were they definitely Ecco or could they have been one of the other brands you mention?
