Polishing up paintwork

    Howdy,

I have a recent used car purchase. It is 4 years old with 100,000 miles and the metalic black paint is showing signs of the mileage.

It is by no means terrible, but I was watching Wheeler Dealers and for one car, they mopped the paintwork as it did not need any major work. For example, I am talking about some swirl marks around the doors, and things like that. I cleaned the car today and when dry, it did not hit me in the same way my 15 year old jazz blue Golf did after a wash. I have a feeling that black does not hide any slight issues the same way as a silver car would, so I am hoping that some reasonable money could be spent to get it revived a tad.

Pictures would help and it probably sounds worse than it is, but for now, does anyone know of any good spots to have the car looked at in the Dublin/Kildare/Meath area?

The only bad part is the boot load lip. It is an estate and has had some mild to heavy scracthes put into the load lip.

    Thanks

    Ian in Elite AutoClean, Blanchardstown
    Brian in Spirit Detailing, Leixlip

Would be the two main detailers in the area you require.

Thanks for that. I'll be in touch with them.

Here is a pic of what I mean.
