Hi got this box to work with an ancient Panasonic plasma tv,have a saorview and 2 astra 28 feeds connected to watch and record the free to air channels only,
the family find the user guide tricky to navigate even to switch back to saorview involves several presses on the remote and channels like e4 and e4 plus1 come up with error messages, the ext hdd is powered by its own psu and is large at 2 t/b,
does anyone know of a simpler operating system
    its running on enigma2
often the recordings on saorview stop or never record,
I read on line that's is similar to some amiko receivers
    can anyone advise?

    Hello thanks for your reply,
the box has the standard set up as supplied by freetv.ie
and displays their logo and enigma 2 on power up
often the box is very slow to respond to the remote control with a small circle and the letters pkt in a spinning on the corner of the screen.
    happy christmass

I use hyperion 4.5 on one of those boxes for free to air and saorview channels.

    Works almost flawlessly. 99.5%
