History is clean,It had one owner up on till now. The current owner/seller has only had it a few months, but I think they are a small time dealer as they have other stuff for sale.

What should I look for with Audis this age?

They have 3 other cars for sale, car is most likely not in their name. Mileage of car is not listed in the ad, generally this is the first sign a gobsh1te is selling a car.

I see they have 2 other cars for sale, the KM's(143,559) are shown on the odometer in a photograph.

Yes but not in the ad, lots of clockers do this and will say to you later that they didn't know the car was clocked so didn't list the mileage.

What does it matter if it's in the ad or in the photograph? they can lie either way...

Verify the service history/mileage. Talk to the previous owner.

Ah for gods sake, this is a 12yr old car at a low price
See how it runs and make your decision then
Can't go too far wrong I'd say.It looks clean in fairness

Easy to say can't go far wrong when spending someone else's money. Might be a low price but risky sending 2k down the drain if it's mutton dressed as lamb. OP needs to be particularly cautious in this price range.

A test drive tells it all in my view
You can have all the service history in the world and mileage verification and can still have a faulty car

Your never going to find a 12 year old car with a perfect service history especially in this country. Test drive is not the end all or be all either, some underlying things can be hidden or masked in a test drive. You still need to know your beans or have someone with you who does. Lots of junk being sold in this end of the market by chancers.

I have walked away from 9 cars this week, it's easy to walk away from a 10th.

Your expectations may be too high
Don't think a 12yr old car will run like a new one and last you ten yrs

At that end of the market i would have to agree with others to buy on condition .If that is the 8 valve engine it should be more robust than the 16v as they had some problems mainly due to owners not using and or not changing the oil on time.

It has a good nct and tax and the drivers seat looks ok.
    worth a look.

Thanks, that's the kind of advice I was looking for
