Joint Assessement Mistake

    Hello!

I need a bit of help on something, today we submitted our Accessable Spouse Election Form and we submitted the wrong figure for my husband. He gave me his take home pay rather than gross and now I think it is going to work to a disadvantage. He told me he was on €27k but actually he is €35k gross.

I earn €60k so had keep our tax credits as the same but changed our tax bands as followed.

    Me: €40,600
    Husband: €27,000

However as we both earn over €33,800 I don't think there is any benefit to moving tax bands. Is that right?

Also can I ring the tax office tomorrow and ask them not to implement the changes?

    Thanks in advance

Yes. It's an honest mistake. Don't think there will be a problem.

Definitely register for online services withe revenue, it makes it so easy to change your bands as suits.

I have that, but not sure at all how to change the bands? What section do I go into?
