    Hi

If buying an 11 or 12 x5 with no trade in what % discount should I be looking for of list price on a website. I could also go north but wondering if there is value to be had up there. Thanks

There is absolutely no way anyone can answer a general question like that

    X5 a advertised for €100k and you get a 10% discount

Identical X5 b advertised for €20k with zero discount

So using your logic x5 a is a better deal?

You've got to find out the market value I'd say. Research fully, check all the sales sites, and go from there.

Yep, go onto the likes of carzone and donedeal to research asking prices between dealers and private sellers to get an idea of what they are looking for them. Just remember that a private seller should be asking less than a dealer as they don't offer a warranty.

Also worth noting that 2012 was a model year change for the X5 so the older model should be a bit cheaper.

Revenue have an OSMP of €37k for a 2012 M-Sport 3.0d with 50k. Sounds on the low side based on asking prices on line here

Looking on line you'd pay £25k for a decent one in the U.K., so after allowing for VRT of €12500 ish, and ferry and flight costs, you'd be looking at spending €42.5k+ to import one from U.K.

Generally looking at the U.K. is a good place to start with BMW's as quite a few are imported - privately and by dealers. Looking online I see this one in Beshoff motors that looks clean http://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/bmw/x5/used-2012-bmw-x5-30d-m-sport-7-se-dublin-fpa-5442591385080301327 for 44k, which looking at what else i available and the U.K. doesn't seem a bad deal to begin with without any haggling

Beschoffs have a lovely 2012 x5 in black for €44k, low miles and good extras - bmw service history to Apr 18.

I was thinking about it and compared to UK and it is priced well IMO.

I'd expect to get it for €41-42k.

Also, I'd buy the 40d version if possible!
