The future of these well known mags look bleak as the firm over them was confirmed to be winding down.

Awful for people to be losing their jobs a week to Christmas especially given this has likely been on the cards for some time.

Wasn't surprising they went the online venture after acquiring the brands from Future Publishing but the setup and layout on the TeamRock site the rare time I visited was dreadful.

Bought the mags on occasion nothing like I used to in the past, found out bout heaps of bands and on the accompanying sampler that was mostly with them over the years.

Not surprising really that a music based print medium is going under in 2016. With the world online and instant information at everyones finger tips, I wonder how they lasted this long.

Machine Head & Avenged Sevenfold have donated £500 & £1000 respectively to help the staff who've been laid off.

Monster Truck posted a link to a crowdfund alright, didn't say how much they gave now.

Expecting music fans to fork out between €7 and €10 for a magazine isn't going to be viable in the long term. The quality of journalism and exclusive content would have to be unmatched with what's available online. Nice to see some bands give a gesture like those above though.
