Hoping someone has some info for me on this.

Cannot set the alarm, fault message "external bell tamper" appears. However the alarm did not sound (as I believe it should have).

A bit of research has told be it's probably the external cover that has been knocked off kilter.

If I remove the external cover and reseat it, am I risking setting the alarm off?

Any advice appreciated, or if anyone has a wiring/ installation manual they could send. I'm competent with electrical work.

It could be anything from the bell itself to the cable being damaged.
