Problem with my stove

I replaced the baffles in my stove yesterday. When I lit the fire this evening flames were coming out between the back and top baffle and not the little vent holes in the back baffle. What is causing this? Any solutions?

Am baffled because you have provided NO clue as to:
    1. the type of stove
    2. the type of baffles

Sorry about that. It's a Boru, Croí Beag, inset stove. I replaced the left side, right side and back brick liner baffles.
The corner of the right side baffle crumbled so replaced it but the baffle I got was slightly bigger than the original so had to also replace the left side and back brick. The top baffle appears to fit snugly. Perhaps I need to also replace this?
