So my phone is due to arrive today but dhl said there's a €32.30 customs charge but the the order was meant to be tariff free. Ive contacted seller but it normally takes them 2 days to reply. Do i have to pay this tariff today to get the phone?

Why would you think it's tarrif free? And what does that even mean?

Importing into the eu means you're liable for charges. I'd say pay the €30 and get on with life.

When i ordered it it said tariff free which means no customs fee.

There's a duty and vat liability when importing into the eu. I'd really like to know how this can be tariff free.

Its usually built-in to the price and they either pay it themselves or reimburse the buyer after they pay.

Really? And are those phones any good?

Aliexpress told me not to pay as seller mightn't reimburse me. Reason i asked was my bro got a phone from a diff store in china and didnt have to pay customs.

But if it goes back to China and a replacement gets shipped from a different store is that hassle and delay worth €30?

Its on hold and wont be sent back, i asked the seller to contact customs and pay for it which they are liable for as it clearly states in bold red writing "tariff free".
