Employment Law Solicitors

I have what I believe to be a very sound employment law case against my employer. I'm quite knowledgeable on employment law but I would like some guidance/ representation should it go to court.

I'm currently pursuing internal procedures but these are almost exhausted and I'm not hopeful of a desirable outcome so Workplace Relations will be the next port of call.

My concern is that legal costs will accrue to a point where any settlement would be going straight to a solicitor and it will all have been a waste of time. Or worse that I would lose the case and gave a huge bill.

How would fees usually be structured for cases like this? At what point would they be charged. Is there such a thing as a consultation where a solicitor can advise me if it's worth pursuing or not?

Sorry for what may be silly questions but I am not familiar with how this works at all. Have only ever used a solicitor when buying a house.

Sorry, it is against forum rules here to give legal advice or solicitor recommendations
If the solicitor you know does not handle employment law, (s)he will be able to recommend somebody suitable

Will leave thread open for now for any general discussion in accordance with forum rules

In my experience with most solicitors they either charge for each appearance in court or by the hour for the work the have to do prior to the case plus the court appearance and you pay after the court date

The cost is usually discussed at consultation or you can ring/email around looking for prices.

Or look for solicitors who offer a free consultation and discuss with them

Everything regarding the strength of you issues will be discussed as well however citizens information or flac offer free legal advice in employment law and the could advise you further

    Hope this helps
